Thanks Everyone!

Hola Amigos!

Liz and I just want to say thanks to all the people back home and in Mexico who have helped us out and/or followed our blog along the way.  Our blog is averaging 25-45 hits per day, with 50 hits on our busiest day, and it is all thanks to you guys.  Daryl gave us a shout on our Mexican cell phone last night (ph #987-111-8184) to let us know he and Nikita only have a few more houses to finish up and they will be on the plane down to be our new neighbours for a few months.  Daryl also said that some more of his friends might be coming down for some time as well.  Dave (Liz’s dad) is thinking about flying down for a winter vacation as well.  We contacted Ricky (another friend from Edmonton who is already here) and we will be going over to his house today to get all the info we need and the grand tour of Cozumel. Paul and Chantel will be staying with us for a week in December. We used our I-Phone to face time with Chantel last night.  It is completely free for the international call so if anyone has an apple device and would like to say hello just email us ( and set up the time.

Yesterday we spent most of our time relaxing in our pool.  Later we went out to the tourist area and had a nice dinner.  We took photographs of the square, the clock tower, the statues, the fountains, the cruise ships at dock, etc.  It was a great night and we watched an amazing sunset from the beach.  We look forward to finding out where the best snorkel spots are from our friends here so we can hopefully find some sea turtles.  Liz and I have tried to catch a glimpse of one for 2 years now with no luck.  There is also a nude beach here for when we decide to work on that full body tan.  Don’t worry we will remember the sunscreen.  I don’t want to know what a burnt taint feels like, LOL!

P.S. Thanks again to everyone who is either looking after or storing or stuff back home.  Without you guys we would not be here!

P.S.S.  Heres a shout out to Robin and Garnet, Janis, Mandy, Anthony, Donovan, and anyone we missed who has helped us on our way and/or is following our blog!

Hi Tim and Liz. Thanks for keeping us ‘posted’ with your blog so we can all live vicariously through you! I am glad to read you made it safe and sound and got to enjoy a bunch of adventures along the way. The adventures have just begun and I am sure there will be many more to come. I can’t wait to read about them as the days go on. What a cool thing you guys are doing! It sounds as though you’re finding your way around town pretty good – getting the stuff you need. Glad to hear Bill is okay and that you found a vet that you like. I can’t believe how cheap everything is down there. It’s crazy. Haven’t heard of any pooh-pooh adventures yet (not like you’d be so keen to blog those anyways!) so you must be eating/drinking at the right places OR you have guts of steel! Chantel has been keeping me posted too so I am glad to have the scoop from both sources. If you start to miss the snow too much, just say the word and I can facetime some beautiful snow piles or frost on the window. It has been an awfully cold week-end. Syd won’t go out without his Muttlucks and gold parka with the fur hood!!! It takes 10 minutes to get him and I dressed to go out the door for a quick 5 minute walk. GAWD!!
Anyways, keep the blogs coming and I miss you guys lots!

thanks for commenting Janis! It is great to hear from you, and we want to encourage people to comment on our blog. We love mexican food and have had no upset stomachs yet. We always take our Dukoral before we go. If you ever travel to tropical places ask your doctor about it. Its worth its weight in gold!

ps- if you want to escape winter this place is one flight away. one weeks rent in our building is only 100 usd so it could make for a super cheap holiday!
